Yin Boran (Khmer: យិន បូរ៉ាន់; Age 28; Nationality: Cambodian) or Boran Yin is a content video creator related to technology, nature, and animal husbandry.


At present, he always inspires and shares knowledge with the audience. He is an entrepreneur and one of the most popular and influential social media personalities in Cambodia.

In the future, he hopes his page will be a reputable and trustworthy source but also provide a higher level of accessibility to his followers.

Career
2008 - 2015: Beginnings
In 2008, as a student at the ODA High School, he liked technology, and he embarked to learned on an enriching journey into the world of computers. Under the tutelage of my esteemed teachers, Khov Kimheng and Meng Chan Wathana, he delved into the fascinating realm of digital technology.
Their mentorship played a pivotal role in shaping his understanding and kindling his passion for this field. Simultaneously, he completed an advanced level of schooling, which provided him with a well-rounded education and honed his problem-solving abilities too.
In addition to his studies, he gained practical experience in computer maintenance and repair. This role involved diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues, ensuring the smooth operation of computer systems.
The hands-on experience allowed him to apply his theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios, enhancing his technical skills and understanding of computer hardware. This blend of academic learning and practical work in 2008 laid a solid foundation for his future endeavors in the field of computer science. It was a year of significant growth and learning, and he's grateful for the experiences and knowledge He gained during this time.
2015: Former Teacher grades 7-12
In 2015, He was a former staff working at The Westline School, in the position of teacher computer, he taught children and students in grades 7-12 and worked on a maintenance branch server.
As a Teacher of computers, his curriculum is comprehensive, covering everything from basic computer literacy to programming concepts. He strives to make his lessons engaging and interactive, fostering an environment where students are encouraged to explore and learn by themselves.
His ultimate goal is to equip his students with the skills and knowledge they need to navigate the digital world confidently. Other works in his role as a Teacher and Server Maintenance Technician, He's responsible for the upkeep and optimal performance of branch servers.
His duties include regular system checks, troubleshooting, and resolving hardware and software issues. He also performs routine maintenance tasks and updates to ensure the server’s security and efficiency. His work is crucial in minimizing downtime and maintaining the smooth operation of network systems.
2016: Graphic Designer at Brain Scan
In 2016, As a graphic designer at Brain Scan in Cambodia branch, he had the opportunity to wear many works and contribute to various aspects of the creative process. His responsibilities include a cameraman, video editor, and graphic designer

Cameraman: In this role, he was responsible for capturing high-quality video footage for various projects.
He operated camera equipment planned shots, and worked closely with the creative team to ensure that the visual elements aligned with the project’s objectives.

Video Editor: He utilized advanced editing software to assemble raw footage into a finished product that matched the director’s vision. This involved cutting and splicing footage, adding music or sound effects, and creating visually appealing transitions and graphics.

Graphic Designer: He designed a variety of promotional materials, including banners, X-stands, and I-stands. He worked closely with clients to understand their vision and objectives and then used his creative skills to bring those ideas to life.
This multifaceted role allowed him to utilize and develop a wide range of skills, from technical know-how to creative thinking. It was a challenging and rewarding experience that significantly contributed to his growth as a creative professional.
2018: Application Developer at MPWT
In 2018, He made a significant career transition from Brain Scan Cambodia to an internship at the Ministry of Public Works and Transport (MPWT) Head Office.
This move offered him the opportunity to apply his skills in a new and challenging context working at the Ministry of Public Works and Transport. His responsibilities were diverse and impactful such as on project Vehicle Personal Number Plates, Vehicle Registration Plates Online, Vehicle Transfer Ownership, and Website Maintenance and Development.
Vehicle Personal Number Plates: He contributed to the development system of vehicle special plate numbers, A personalized plate has the word “Cambodia” at the top, with one to eight letters and numbers on the next line. It can contain virtually any arrangement of letters and numbers, including people’s names if they so desire.
Vehicle Registration Plates Online: He contributed to the development project of vehicle registration plates. For all vehicles that must be registered by the prescribed law. You can register your vehicle through the Ministry’s automated online registration system at www.vehicle.mpwt.gov.kh and are required to create an online account by filling in your personal information and vehicle’s information together with attachments of your vehicle’s receipt of import tax, the letter from the dealer, Certificate of Vehicle Inspection, along a copy of your Cambodian ID, residency book, or family book of the vehicle owner.
Vehicle Transfer Ownership: He contributed to a significant project aimed at facilitating the process of vehicle ownership transfer in Cambodia. This involved application development, where he collaborated closely with the team to design and implement this digital solution.
Website Maintenance and Development: He was also tasked with the maintenance and development of the MPWT website. This involved ensuring the website’s optimal performance, implementing updates, and troubleshooting any issues that arose. Frontend Development and Analysis: As a front-end developer and analyst, he played a key role in designing and implementing user-friendly interfaces for our digital solutions.
He worked closely with the development team and stakeholders to understand the specific requirements and create intuitive and efficient user experiences.
2019 - Present
In 2019, his hard work and dedication were recognized when he passed the government official examination. This marked a significant milestone in his career, as he transitioned from an intern to a government official. This role allowed him to further contribute to developing a system of user-friendly Personalized Number Plates, Development of Vehicle Register Plate Numbers, and Vehicle Transfer ownership.
This journey, from his internship in 2018 to becoming a government official in 2019, was filled with learning and growth. It provided him with valuable insights into the public sector and significantly contributed to his professional development.
